Spiced Pecans | Printable recipe
On many a Christmas holiday I have delivered these nuts to our
neighbors for little holiday gifts. I also serve them on the bar
when we have parties. Pretty much any time of day or in any season,
I can find a reason to gobble them up.
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
4 cups pecan halves
Preheat the oven to 325˚F.
Combine the melted butter, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce,
soy sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, and paprika in a large mixing bowl.
Add the pecans and toss well to coat.
Spread the pecans in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes, stirring once. Drain and cool the pecans on
several layers of paper towels.
Store at room temperature, for up to 5 days.
Pecans often don’t get enough credit for their nutritional value.
They are high in vitamin E, magnesium, fiber, and other antioxidants.
